Mrs. Barnett earned her Master of Education from the University of Florida. She has 25 years of experience teaching a variety of subjects in a variety of settings, including in-depth experience in planning course content, editing, and writing. She joined PEP in 2015 teaching Composition & Literature. Amy’s two children have both been homeschooled from a young age. She loves horses and has owned a horse barn. She is now enjoying giving weekly riding lessons. The Barnetts are actively involved at Christian Family Chapel.
Life Science, Chemistry
Molly Carrico received her BS in Chemical Engineering from Tennessee Technological University. After working as a chemical engineer, Mrs. Carrico has transitioned into teaching. She has been teaching middle school and high school sciences since 2011. She thoroughly enjoys teaching students the workings of science. Molly has three homeschooled children, and in her spare time she is the principal percussionist of Kingsport Symphony, plays softball, and plays in the church orchestra.
Drawing I & II
Wendy has a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. She also completed many fine art and architecture classes while studying at University of Arkansas. She has painted professionally off and on and recently completed two children's books. She and her husband, John, homeschooled their two children, who are now graduated. All are active members of Christian Family Chapel.

Dan Clay has a B.A. in History and Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of South Carolina. He also has a Master of Divinity from Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando. Dan is the Associate Pastor at Ortega Presbyterian Church. He began teaching at PEP in 2006. His wife Amy is the site administrator at PEP East and St. Johns. They have homeschooled three children through high school with the help of PEP.
Spanish I, II & III
Rosa Colby has a B.A. in Liberal Studies from the California State University of Fullerton. She has worked in elementary schools in California as an ESL Resource Aide and began teaching high school Spanish in 2006. She is married and has two children. Her daughter attends Southeastern University, and her son is a PEP graduate. Rosa is passionate about teaching Spanish and songwriting.
Geography, Saxon 8/7, Art & Music Appreciation, Drama, Public Speaking
Luann Eiginger has a Bachelor of Music Education from Samford University and a Master of Music Education from Indiana University. She has been involved in the performing arts for many years and has experience in speaking before groups of all sizes. She is currently working at First Baptist Church as an accompanist and a piano teacher in the Performing Arts Center. Her desire in teaching at PEP is to instill a love for the Lord through the study of fine arts and communication.
Comp & Ancient Lit, Western Thought II
Lindsay Fait is joining PEP this year to share her passion and love for history, English, and philosophy. She has Bachelor of Arts in English and History, with a specialization in British Literature from University of Florida Honors College.
In addition to having been a textbook editor, she is a private music teacher (for guitar) and a published Christian writer. (My first collection of poetry is called Of Clay and the Kiln, and focuses on the intimate growth of relationship and trust cultivated in our lives through the dynamic as God as the "potter" and His people as the clay.) She has a passion for nature and the outdoors, a heart for travel and learning foreign languages, a great love of music, and, of course, a passion for writing and daily discovering the faithfulness of God through a study of His Word.
Becky has been married to Robert for over 25 years. She has been homeschooling her four children for 15+ years. Becky has taught in a co-op where she taught a variety of classes before becoming a PEP parent. She is a member of Christian Family Chapel, and she serves the Lord through the HOPE Center where she is a volunteer ACBC certified biblical counselor. She loves all aspects of the study of science because all creation points to our exceedingly wonderful Creator and Savior!

Mrs. Hurst graduated with honors from the University of North Florida and has completed graduate level course work in Counseling through Liberty University. She taught in St. Johns County, focusing on middle school history and mathematics. She is thankful for the opportunity to teach a providential viewpoint of history through PEP. She has a passion for students to have a knowledge of history.

Laurie has a B.A. in Mathematics Education from the University of South Florida. She has been teaching high school, tutoring, and working with homeschooled students for over 16 years. She is a returning PEP tutor and brings a love for teenagers and clarity of explanation for difficult topics to the classroom. Laurie is also involved in serving the Lord through her ability to play the piano beautifully. She has served as the main musician for many years.

Lindsey Knott received a BA in English Literature and Secondary Education with a music minor from Wheaton College and a Certificate in Theological Studies from Knox Theological Seminary. Miss Brigham is involved with music ministry, ministry to internationals, and she writes for Circe Institute. She agrees with John Milton that "the end of learning is . . . to know God aright," and believes that the main "subjects" of any class are wisdom, virtue, and wonder. She attends Westminster Presbyterian Church.

Heidi Manzone has a B.A. in History/Literature from the University of North Florida and a Masters in British History from UNF. She taught history at the University of North Florida for 10 years and has been teaching middle and high school for over ten years. In addition, she has been with PEP since the program came to Jacksonville in 2007. She also serves her church as the Director of Christian Education and has spent many years homeschooling her sons. Her two sons are both graduates of PEP. Heidi loves God, loves to teach, and loves to work with young people and feels blessed to be able to combine all three passions through PEP.
Biology, Anatomy, Conceptual Physics
Joanne Mastronicola brings 20+ years of experience to PEP. She loves science and teenagers and has had the pleasure of teaching both for many years. Also, she works with homeschooling families in various capacities – serving with both state and local organizations. She is the author of Piecing Together the High School Puzzle and blogs occasionally. She is slowing working through her graduate studies as time allows.
Old Testament Survey, New Testament Survey
Michele McKee worked as a Radiologic Technologist then went back to school to study Magnetic Resonance Imaging. She worked in those fields for a 15 years. Michele managed the MRI department at Baptist Medical Center-Downtown for 8 years prior to staying home with her children. Michele and her husband Dave have 5 children who have all been homeschooled. In 2009 Michele completed her certification with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC) and has served as a biblical counselor, at the Hope Center (CFC), since that time. She serves as a mentor to new female counselors and as an instructor for the Hope Center counseling training center. This is her second year at PEP and her desire is for her students to “taste and see that the Lord is good”.

Lynne Hurley Norris is the founder and CEO of Diligent Solutions, LLC. She has been privately teaching and tutoring for over 35 years (4 years here in Jacksonville with local Christian schools). Mrs. Norris specializes in math, specifically all Algebra, Geometry, Statistics, as well as ACT/SAT Math Prep, and introductory level college business courses like Finance, Accounting, Economics, Marketing, and Management. Mrs. Norris' former professional life included 20 years in the banking industry. She earned an MBA from Johns Hopkins University and holds a BBA in Finance from Loyola University.

JennaRae Patton received a BA in Communication Arts & Literature Education 5-12 from Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota. Before moving to Jacksonville, Mrs. Patton taught 9th grade Reading in Pensacola, FL. She has always loved reading since a young age and to this day she can usually be found enjoying a cup of coffee and a good book. Her favorite part about teaching literature is helping her students discover truths about themselves and about God through the works they study. She attends Christian Family Chapel.
Composition & Lit - Core B
Amy Rait has a Master of Education degree from the University of Florida and has been teaching for over twenty years. As a teacher, she enjoys making connections with students through literature and discipleship. She is active at Mandarin Presbyterian Church as a Deacon, a Stephen Minister, and leading small groups. In her free time, Amy enjoys writing, all things music, and cuddle time with her dogs.
New Testament Survey
Joani has a BS in Accounting from the University of Florida and an MBA from UNF. She has over 20 years professional experience in accounting, marketing, and innovation, but her passion is in Biblical studies. She has written and facilitated several teen and women Bible studies and is on the writing team for the ThouArtExalted New Testament devotional app for teens. She loves sharing God’s Word and watching college football. She has two children currently in PEP and her family attends Christ Church InTown PCA.
Starting Points, Western Thought III
Matt has been on staff with Christian Family Chapel since 1999. He served as Sr. High Youth Pastor from 1999 to 2007 and Pastor of Worship from 2007 to 2015. In 2015, he moved into his current role of Pastor of Equipping. This position involves planning and implementing Adult Christian Education programs, as well as serving as a staff counselor in CFC's counseling ministry. Matt attended Regent University where he received his Master of Arts in Counseling in 1996. He earned a Master of Divinity in 2011 from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Jacksonville, FL. He is also a certified ACBC counselor. Matt and Kristi have been married since 1993 and have three children: Emma, Toby, and Levi. Matt is passionate about disciple making through teaching and counseling and encouraging the body to wholeheartedly worship Jesus with the lives they have been given.
