J. Arnold- Old Testament Survey, Genesis Thought, Computer, Chemistry, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I
J. Arnold was homeschooled through junior and senior high and has a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry from the University of North Florida. He has tutored privately and through various homeschool groups since 2002. J. also serves as youth director at his home church in St. Augustine, teaching students from kindergarten through senior high. He and his wife, Sheri, love living at the beach with their daughter, Mara-Jade, and their son, Liam.
Laurie Bilotta- Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Saxon 8/7
Laurie has a BA in Mathematics Education from the University of South Florida. She has been teaching high school, tutoring, and working with home-schooled students for over 16 years. She is a returning teacher with PEP and brings a love for teenagers and a clarity of explanation for difficult topics to the classroom. She helps out at her church by keeping the books and playing the piano, along with her daughter who plays the guitar.
David Burke- Starting Points
David Burke has been the pastor at Ortega Presbyterian Church (PCA) for the past 14 years. He has a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Wichita State University and a Masters of Divinity from Reformed Presbyterian Theolgical Seminary in Pittsburgh. David and his wife Vickie are avid homeschool supporters. They successfully homeschooled their four children, who are now adults. David and Vickie are the proud grandparents of six grandchildren. David has a pastor's heart and thoroughly enjoys teaching people of all ages.
Vickie Burke- Logic, Composition & World Lit. (Core B)
Vickie Burke started teaching during her high school years on mission trips where she taught in a VBS setting, and continues to devote much time to teaching children about the God of the Bible. While a university student in Kansas, she taught Bible studies, wrote and edited her college newspaper, and was graduated with a degree in English literature. She has taught high school English in public and private Christian schools, journalism at the college level, was director of education at Hosanna House here in Jacksonville, led afterschool Bible clubs through the YMCA in Clay County and Duval County, home schooled her own children, and tutored homeschoolers for other families. Vickie is the wife of pastor David Burke, and helps out with kids’ and women’s ministry, music and clerical work at our church, and is grandmother to six. She has enjoyed teaching Logic and Composition and Literature (Core B) this year at PEP. In Logic she shows the importance of edifying speech and clear thinking skills, and in composition and literature some of the great masterpieces of literature such as Pilgrim’s Progress and The Hound of the Baskervilles, then good writing in response.
Dan Clay-Western Thought I, II, III, Composition & Ancient Lit. (Core D), Latin, Government & Economics
Dan has a B.A. in History and Masters of Arts in Teaching from the University of South Carolina. He also has a Masters of Divinity from Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando. Dan served as a pastor for 14 years and then served with Mission to the World for 3 years. His wife Amy is the Jacksonville site administrator. They have homeschooled their children now for ten years.
Luann Eiginger- Chorus, Public Speaking
Luann Eiginger has a Master of Music Education from Indiana University. She has spent years teaching music and developing choirs.She is currently working at First Baptist Church in the Performing Arts Center.She brings a wonderful love of music along with experience to our students.
Ann Marie Hinkle- Composition & World Lit. (Core A), Composition & World Lit. (Core B)
Ann Hinkle has a passion for teaching. She graduated from Florida State University with a degree in English, minor in Art. . She loves students and loves both writing and literature. She brings her wonderful energy and knowledge to our students.
Lindsay Hipp- Rhetoric & Lit. I (Core E)
Lindsay is a graduate of the University of Florida and has previously taught in the Duval County Public Schools. Lindsay has a great love of writing and literature and the desire the spread that love to her students. She is married to Andy and they have two children, Benjamin and Lucy. They are members of Eastside Community Church.
Susan Jones- Geometry, Advanced Physics
Mrs. Jones has a love of kids and teaching and brings great excitement and energy to the classroom. Since receiving her BS in Education/Math & Hard Science from the University of Mobile she has taught many subjects and ages. She loves bringing life to difficult subjects and helping her students begin to see how science is God's handiwork. Most recently she has been the Honors and AP Physics teacher at Providence School of Jacksonville. Susan has been married to Lt. Col. B. Scott Jones of the US Army for 24 years and they have been blessed with four children, Mallary, Scotty, Christina and Gracie. They are members of First Baptist Church where Susan enjoys participating in the music ministry. Susan is excited to be homeschooling Gracie and to be joining PEP as a tutor.
Mishell Larmond- Geography
Mishell Larmond has a BA in Political Science and International Relations from Taylor University. She also has a Masters of International Relations from Alliant International University. Her love for the Lord, for students and for the world enables her to bring the subject of Geography alive. Her husband, Sean, is career military and plans on retiring to Jacksonville this fall. They have three lovely children.
Heidi Manzone- World History, Ancient History, Medieval-Early Modern History, Modern History
Heidi Manzone has a B.A. in History/Literature from the University of North Florida and a Masters in British History from UNF. She has been teaching history for over 10 years at the University of North Florida. She imparts knowledge and a deep love of history to her students.
Joanne Mastronicola- Life Science, Earth & Space Science, Biology, Ecology/Marine Biology, Conceptual Physics
Joanne Mastronicola brings 20 years experience to PEP.Science and Math are areas she loves and has taught for the last 11 years in co-ops.She is the author of Piecing Together the High School Puzzle. She served on the board of Eunice Christian School for ten years. She is currently working on her MBA at the University of North Florida.
Nanette Pinto- Spanish I & II
Nanette Pinto graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a B.A. in Spanish and Portugese and studied abroad at the University of San Pablo. She has spent years teaching language to children and adults. Her enthusiasm is contagious and she loves to teach students about loving God in another language.

Courtney Towe loves books and writing!After receiving her BA in English and Political Science from the University of North Florida, she has been teaching ninth grade English in the Duval County Public Schools.Courtney is excited to be able to teach her beloved literature from a Christian perspective this year at PEP.She has a love for God’s Word and enjoys passing that passion on to others.Courtney is married with two beautiful girls and is a member of Eastside Community Church.
