Kiki West graduated in 1989 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. In 1993, she completed her education by earning a Master of Arts in Teaching from the College of Charleston in South Carolina. She has 18 years of teaching experience, five as a public school teacher and 13 as a home educator of her four children. Her oldest son graduates from high school this spring after spending three years in the PEP program. Additionally, Kiki volunteers as a teacher in the middle school ministry at First Baptist Church and serves as the Commissioner for Lighthouse Lacrosse Foundation, which sponsors and co-ordinates club lacrosse in Jacksonville. She has been married to LCDR Edward West, U.S. Navy, for 21 years.
