Kyna Baylor graduated from Wright State University with a B.A. in Communications. She has been homeschooling for 11 years and has tutored at Classical Conversations and participated in local co-ops. Two of her three children currently attend PEP. Her oldest child graduated from PEP. All of them have embraced the courses and friends it has to offer. As the world continues to shrink, understanding geography becomes an integral part in the way we see the world and how it affects us. Married 21 years to Lyle Baylor, they have been involved with Teen Challenge and Northstar Church in Loveland.
Lydia Brashear has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish & Education (University Scholar, magna cum laude) and a Master of Education degree, with a concentration in Spanish, from Xavier University. Before becoming a mom, she taught Spanish II and III at Marlborough High School and K-5 Spanish at Cincinnati Country Day School. She and her husband Jim have been homeschooling their two daughters for nine years. The Brashears have been members of Kingdom Builders Homeschool Co-op since 2012 where Lydia has taught Beginning Spanish, Informal Logic, Spanish I, and Spanish II.
Emily Carabello is a graduate of Taylor University with a degree in K-12 Art Education. She has taught art in private schools, after-school programs, adult education, and homeschool co-ops for the last nine years. Emily has also used her art in several short term mission trips to Bosnia, Italy, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica. She and her husband reside in Newport, Kentucky and own a philanthropic coffee roasting company called Carabello Coffee.
Conceptual Physics, Chemistry
Lori received her BS degrees in Biology and Chemistry from California University of Pennsylvania in 1999. During that time, she also worked as a laboratory and teaching assistant in the Department of Biology and Environmental Sciences and was a member of BBB, Biological Honors Society. Lori was a Project Manager, Clinical Research Associate, and Monitor in the field of pharmaceutical clinical trials for investigational new drugs. Part of her responsibilities included training laboratory technicians and nurses to ensure projects met study specifications. Shortly after the birth of her first child, Lori chose to be a stay at home mom. She has been a private instructor of piano for the past 7 years. Lori has been married 17 years and has two elementary aged children, Abigail and Nathaniel. She believes that when we consider all the works of The Lord, His ever present hand becomes conspicuous in the details in the sciences.

Teresa Coffindaffer has a BS in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Purdue University. Most of her Bible training has been through Precept Bible Studies. She attends Precept Bible programs in Chattanooga, TN regularly. Along with tutoring at PEP, she has co-led a Precept ladies Bible study for more than 15 years. All of her 3 children were homeschooled. Her eldest has earned a PHD in Molecular Biology, her middle daughter graduated with honors from Cedarville University and her youngest presently is earning a degree in Electrical Engineering Technology at UC. She has been married to her husband, Tim, for 30 years.
Composition and American Literature
Tina Collins has been a homeschooling mother for the past 9 years. She and her husband Steve have been married for 20 years and have two children. Tina attended the University of Cincinnati and while her background is in accounting and administration, she finds her greatest sense of fulfillment in teaching. She has a love for literature and is passionate about inspiring and empowering students in their educational journey. With a strong heart for the Lord, she finds joy in instilling in students an understanding of scholastic subjects as they stem from God, and are thus interconnected, revealing essential truths about our Creator. Over the years, Tina has tutored various levels of Classical Conversations as well as private composition and literature classes.

Jenna graduated from the Honors College at Indiana Wesleyan University with degrees in history and philosophy. Her passion for people and their stories began when she was a student at PEP. When not teaching, Jenna loves reading and traveling with her husband, Andrew.
Ancient History & World History
Jacob grew up in Milford, Ohio and has felt called to work with youth from the time he was a freshman in high school. His passion for youth ministry comes from his desire to bring the transforming hope, power and love of Jesus to students living in such a pivotal and challenging stage of life. Jacob graduated from Liberty University in 2017 with his Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies with minors in Biblical Languages, Old Testament and Theology. Jacob is married to his high school sweetheart, Jordan Large. He is currently the Youth Pastor at Elevation Community Church in Blanchester Ohio and is looking forward to continuing to serve teenagers at Providence Extension Program.
Paul graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in Horticulture. As a horticulturist in Memphis, he taught adult continuing ed classes in gardening and botanical sciences. For the past 23 years, he has been homeschooling. He has tutored at Classical Conversations and other homeschool co-ops. Married for 34 years to Laura Kingsley, they have 8 sons; the youngest 3 are now attending PEP. Paul believes that as much of the world embraces alternatives to Biblical accounts of creation, studying the life sciences can build a strong foundation to see God’s eternal power and divine nature, equipping students with a Biblical perspective to all sciences.
Algebra I & II, Math Lab
Eleni Lang holds a B.S. in Computer Science and a B.A. in Mathematics from the University of Cincinnati. She worked as a Computer Programmer for General Electric Aircraft Engines. She homeschooled her two children for 14 years and taught various mathematics courses at West Branch Learning Tree and Learning Tree. She volunteers at Vineyard Community Church as part of the hospitality team for Student Union Ministries.
Christy Lanning has been fascinated by the wonder of God’s creation for as long as she can remember. A graduate of Miami University with a B.S. in Education, Christy taught for 6 years in public schools in Ohio and Massachusetts before “retiring” to be a full time homeschooling mom. Christy found that her love of teaching science filled a need in the homeschool community where she has taught at various Homeschool cooperatives for 15 years. Christy’s husband, Rich, is a senior pastor and they have six children, one a Pep graduate and two currently attending PEP Milford. Believing that our chief end is to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever, Christy loves to study God’s Word and His works. Teaching the marvels of what God has made is a joy and a privilege.

Elizabeth Marinkovic received a BA in Writing and Philosophy from Geneva College. She taught 9th grade English for two years at Petersburg High School in Virginia and is now in her 9th year of teaching at PEP. Elizabeth authored a fantasy novel (available on Amazon) called Shatter: The Children of Man and a sequal Render, and is currently working on a YA fiction series. She has a passion for the Lord and brings a wealth of Biblical Worldview knowledge to share with her students.
Biology, Anatomy & Physiology
Jennifer graduated from Calvin College with a B.S. in Biology. She also has a M.S. from Indiana University. It was at Calvin that she met her husband, Tom, on the college swim team. They have been married over 18 years and have three children, Katie, Matthew, and Carolyn. Jennifer worked in the field of cardiac rehabilitation before “retiring” to stay home with their children, who are currently homeschooled. She was a Classical Conversations tutor for four years prior to tutoring for PEP. She has been involved with women’s Bible studies for more than 12 years and is a member of Faith Church.
Karin Merrell has a Bachelors of Science in English and Communications Education (7-12) from Miami University and a Masters of Science in Higher Education from Indiana University. After working at Ohio University and The University of Cincinnati, she and her husband homeschooled their five children. During this time, she has taught Latin, literature, science and other classes at The Learning Tree Co-Op and YMCA and now loves teaching Composition and World Literature at Springdale. Her deep desire is to please God and serve the homeschool community to the best of her ability by teaching the next generation.

Erin received her B.S. in Human Nutrition, Foods and Exercise from Virginia Tech in 2000 and her M.S. in Health Promotion from Purdue University in 2003. It was at Virginia Tech that she met her husband, Aaron, through campus ministry. Upon graduation from Purdue, she decided to stay home and become a full-time mom. Erin now has 4 children and has been a part of the homeschooling community for over 5 years, participating in various co-ops. She is a member of Parkside Christian Church where she volunteers as a preschool worship leader, Bible Bowl coach, and librarian. Erin is also part of a missional community that reaches out to and loves on the Beech Acres Parenting Center as well as the foster and adoptive families of the church.
Rhetoric I & II
Although Tonya's education and background are in business, her true passion is teaching. She is well-known for her creative and engaging methods of instruction and she specifically designs her lessons to bring the subject material alive for her students. Tonya has a reputation as a successful classsical instructor, holding many academic and leadership roles over the years. As a propoent for life-long learning, Tonya continues her own education each year - whether she takes an online course or attends a seminar. She is the proud mother of three amazing young men who inspire her every day. When she's not busy enjoying time with them, dreaming of her villa in Italy, or tutoring her beloved students, Tonya works as Content and Copy Editing Consultant for PSG, a Cincinnati-based advertising agency.

Cal Puckett is the Pastor of Redeemer Community Church in Loveland, OH. RCC is a new church plant out of Grace Baptist Church. He graduated from Baptist Bible College in 2001 with his Bachelor's Degree in Youth Ministry and received his Master's Degree from Liberty University in 2009. He and his wife Tiffani have been married since 2000 and have three children.
Tiffani is a wife and a homeschooling mom of three. She has a Bible Degree from Baptist Bible College and an Associates Degree in Business and Marketing from Ozark Technical College. Tiffani is currently a part-time secretary for Grace Baptist Church and Redeemer Community Church and works in graphic and web design. She’s been married to Cal Puckett since 2000.
Kara was a Marketing Manager with GE Capital for 12 years before God blessed her with a family. She earned a BA in Business Management and in Child and Family Studies. She and her husband Chris have been married 20 years and have homeschooled their two lovely children since 2005. As a volunteer with local crisis pregnancy centers, she has taught hundreds of teenagers the blessings of purity before marriage. She has also written and taught money management classes at a homeschool co-op. She has a passion for the Lord and a heart for equipping teens to live with an eternal perspective.
Sherriann Robinette earned her BA in Mathematics/Secondary Education from Grove City College. She taught math for two years at Cincinnati Christian Schools, followed by five years at Purcell Marian High School. Since the birth of her first child, she has been a stay at home Mom to her two boys, while also privately tutoring many students. Geometry is her favorite subject!
Cynthia Tann has a three year certificate in Theology and Christian Education from Faith School of Theology in Charleston, Maine as well as a B.A. in Spanish from Miami University. She has been teaching all levels of high school Spanish for the Mason Co-op for the last five years. Her passion and desire is to see students learn Spanish so that they can share Christ with the growing population of Spanish speaking people who live around us and who don’t know Christ. She has also been home educating her children for 9 years.
Brian Zboril received his Bachelors of Science in Engineering Technology from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. Brian has worked in the engineering profession for over 25 years and continues to work part-time as an Applications Engineer with VEGA Americas, Inc. in Oakley. While not a parent himself, he remains an advocate of homeschooling and alternative education and also operates a tutoring service, Anderson Tutor and Mentor. Brian is a contributing author for the 5th Edition of the Instrument and Automation Engineers' Handbook where his article on Radiation Level Sensors can be found. He also enjoys working on his house and property and continues as a beginner violinist.
