Discipleship Model

Families, Churches, and the Christian Community working together for personal and cultural transformation for the glory of God.

Biblical Model

  • Lifestyle Discipleship in the home

Deut. 6:4-8  "…And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house…"

  • Christian teachers in the Church

Luke 2:46  "Now so it was that after three days they found Him [Jesus at age 12] in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers, both listening to them and asking them questions."

Ephesians 4: 11-14  "And He Himself gave some to be…teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of the ministry…that we should no longer be children tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men…"

Life Preparation

  • Personal Transformation

    • Equip the mind to live out God’s will, one’s appointed vocation, with wisdom and virtue

Romans 12:1-2  "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."

  • Cultural Transformation (impact society)

    • Develop discernment
I Chronicles 12:32 "Of the sons of Issachar, men who understood the times, with knowledge of what Israel should do."

    • Inspire to action based on knowledge and understanding
Romans 10:2 "For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge."

Assured Success

By placing first things first, second things have been given according to God’s wisdom. By-products: college scholarships, job placement, social influence

Matthew 6:33  "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."

Joshua 1:8  "This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success."
